Designing disability inclusive career fairs
Overview
In this webinar, Dan Samosh will share a recent resource, created by IDEA’s Hub on Transitions to Work and Career Development, on how to make career fairs more disability inclusive. This will include valuable information for career fair organizers, job seekers, employers, non-profits, and other individuals and organizations. The presentation will guide participants through the Designing Disability Inclusive Career Fairs resource, outlining its purpose, guiding principles, and core sections. This includes highlighting practical, evidence-informed strategies and practices relating to career fair participants, event structure, logistics, coordination, and communication. This webinar will provide information on other activities and resources being developed by IDEA’s Hub on Transitions to Work and Career Development, such as a resource on understanding ADHD at work for managers.
