Neurodiversity hiring: checklist for organizational success

The neurodiversity hiring checklist from Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) summarizes best practices and lessons learned from successful neuro-inclusion hiring and retention programs in the private sector. The checklist is divided into three categories: (1) set the course, (2) prepare the workplace, and (3) sustainability and scaling.  Items under each of these categories can improve outcomes in hiring processes, enterprise systems, and management systems.

For any hiring manager, this checklist can serve as a quick reference for inclusive hiring strategies for neurodivergent persons and to improve workplace systems and culture to support neurodiversity in the workplace. Employers can use these practices to design and implement a successful and scalable program to recruit, hire, retain, advance, and provide long-term support for neurodivergent employees
