DWC 2024: Strengthening the movement for inclusive work for all

The Disability and Work in Canada (DWC) 2024 Virtual Conference took place over four days in November and December. The conference theme was: building momentum for reducing the barriers to employment for persons with a disability and supporting their full inclusion in Canadian workplaces. The focus of the conference was on renewing the Pan-Canadian Strategy for Disability and Work and reviewing progress on the Strategy, which was developed after extensive consultation, and launched at our 2019 conference. Developed through extensive consultation, this consensus-based strategy has guided efforts to improve workplace accessibility and inclusion. With significant changes since 2019, the conference provided an opportunity to reflect on collective achievements and identify priority areas for continued action.
