Mahadeo Sukhai is the Vice-President, Research & International Affairs and Chief Accessibility Officer at CNIB (Canadian National Institute for the Blind). He holds Adjunct faculty appointments at Queens University (Kingston, ON), OCAD University (Toronto) and Ontario Tech University (Oshawa, ON). Sukhai is also co-lead of IDEA's Incubator Hub on Inclusive Environmental Design. He is the world’s first congenitally blind geneticist and is a leading expert on accessibility of graduate and postdoctoral research training in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and healthcare disciplines.
