There’s no question that hiring people with disabilities brings immense value to an organization. But is your digital workplace ready to truly support an inclusive employee experience? Technology is woven throughout the employee lifecycle, and barriers will exist without intentional digital accessibility. In this webinar, Monica Ackerman will explore the essential elements of an inclusive digital workplace strategy and examine how evolving accessibility standards and regulations are helping drive positive change.

Speaker 

Monica Ackermann is a strategic accessibility leader with a career long passion for creating accessible digital spaces and for the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. In her past role as Head of Accessibility at Scotiabank she led the Accessibility Centre of Excellence with a mandate to define and implement the strategic vision for accessibility at Scotiabank to meet expectations of customers and employees with disabilities, business and regulators.

Ackermann is a Professional Engineer and has a Master’s Degree in Critical Disability Studies from York University. For 20 years she was the co-owner of a company specializing in workplace accommodation supporting employees and employers in creating inclusive workplaces. She is a current board member of G3ICT.
