Building capacity for frontline employment service practitioners

Description

In this webinar, Marie Laberge discussed on her action-research study that analyzed service delivery models for integrating unemployed persons with disabilities into the labour market. A summary of the resultant tools under development to assist frontline practitioners in better supporting the successful integration of individuals to work was presented.

Speaker

Marie Laberge is a Professor at the School of Rehabilitation at the Université de Montréal and a Researcher at the Research Center of the CHU Sainte-Justine. She actively collaborates with various Canadian teams dedicated to enhancing employment access for marginalized individuals at risk of exclusion, including IDEA. Laberge holds the Canada Research Chair in Adolescent Work Disability Prevention. Her research revolves around preventing occupational injuries among adolescents with a low education, designing enabling work environments for persons with disabilities, and incorporating a gender-sensitive perspective in developing interventions for workplace well-being.
