This toolkit is part of the resources developed by March of Dimes Canadas EnAbling Change project, funded by the Government of Ontario. It includes background information on the AODA, information related to Employment Standard compliance requirements, myths and facts, case studies, tips, techniques, and checklists, as well as list of related programs and services.
The majority of these resources are relevant to most businesses in Ontario, but the research, interviews, and case studies focus on how to identify and remove barriers related to employing persons with disabilities in the information, communications, and technology (ICT) sector. The toolkit includes information to help make all stages of the employment process more inclusive, including recruitment and selection of new employees, as well as accommodation, retention, and career development of current employees.
