Shannon Killip is an IDEA postdoctoral associate, housed within McMaster University. She is the recipient of the first David C. Onley Postdoctoral Research Award in Work Disability Policy. Killip is working within IDEA's Incubator Hub on Employment Support Systems under the supervision of Rebecca Gewurtz. 

Kiillip is also a sessional instructor in Rehabilitation Sciences at McMaster University. She is interested in research on return to work and disability management, first responder health and wellbeing, and chronic pain. 

Killip holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from McMaster University; she defended her thesis in September 2024.
