Andrea Holbeche

Andrea Holbeche is the Strategic Initiatives Manager for CSA Group’s Health and Safety Standards sector. In her role, she is responsible for leading standards initiatives, identifying emerging trends and technologies, enhancing existing areas of activity, and incubating new standards-based opportunities, including CSA research and learning. Andrea has more than a decade of experience in standards development, with a keen focus on inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Queens University and is a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario.
 
CSA Group’s standards play a significant role in creating a barrier-free Canada, enabling equitable participation for all. They cover a broad range of topics, including accessibility, occupational health and safety, equity, and workplace wellness. Notable standards include CSA/ASC B651:23 (Accessible design for the built environment), CSA Z301:24 (Equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in apprenticeship programs), CSA/ASC B652:23 (Accessible dwellings), and CSA Z1011:20 (Work disability management).
